On November 22, 2023, Ambassador Wu Wei met with T.H. Arthy G. Nena, Lt. Governor of the State of Kosrae. The two sides exchanged views on the results of T.H. Nena’s recent visit to Shandong Province, China-FSM relations and subnational cooperation.

Ambassador Wu appreciated Kosrae State’s long-term adherence to the one-China principle, and said that China stands ready to continue to strengthen practical cooperation with Kosrae State in various fields including economy, trade, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges, so as to promote greater development of the China-FSM Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Nena thanked China and Shandong Province for their long-standing selfless assistance to Kosrae State. He said that Kosrae State will firmly abide by the one-China principle, deepen exchanges and cooperation with China and Shandong Province in various fields, and let the China-FSM relations flourish to greater benefit of both peoples.
