Welcome to the website of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). Thank you for your interest in and support for China and China-FSM relations!

The FSM is blessed with beautiful scenery, long history and unique culture. Though small in land area, it ranks high in the world for its maritime jurisdiction, hence a "mini ocean power". China and the FSM enjoy time-honored traditional friendship which is deeply rooted in the hearts of both peoples. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties 34 years ago, China and the FSM have been supporting each other and made great progress in bilateral relations on the basis of firmly upholding the one-China principle, and brought tangible benefits to the two peoples. Over the years, China has provided assistance within its capacity to the FSM under frameworks such as South-South Cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative, jointly building a Human Community with a Shared Future. In November 2018, President Xi Jinping met with his counterparts of the Pacific Island Countries that have diplomatic relations with China including the FSM, and both leaders of China and the FSM agreed to elevate the bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership featuring mutual respect and common development, ushering in a new era of all round cooperation between China and the FSM.

The Chinese Embassy will continue to make relentless efforts to provide excellent services for friends both from China and the FSM. With the endeavors to promote the development of China-FSM relations in mind, we will earnestly implement the consensus of our leaders, steadily enhance political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning, carry forward traditional friendship, and strive hard to write a new chapter of China-FSM friendship.
